 The actual tracking / mapping software is FREE TO USE! yes FREE!, you can track your Car/Caravan/Motor home/Boat/Tractor as many times as you like a year for NO COST!
If "Armed" the tracker will send you an Alarm Message as soon as the tracker reaches more than 2 Miles per hour, or if an external Alarm system has been triggered.
Once set-up you communicate with the tracker using SMS Text messages. It uses a set of English Commands including...
"Locate" To instantly text you back the latitude, longitude heading and speed of the tracker. These coordinates can be entered into a personal navigation system, or you can use the KML (Keyhole Markup Language) file held on our server. The KML file can be accessed using Google Mobile Maps on your mobile phone or if you are at your PC you can go on line to the webpage for instant FREE on line tracking.
"Tracking ON" will continue to update the location every minute using the GPS Alert SIM GPRS data access. This will cost approximately 60p per hour from your pay as you go SIM.
"Tracking OFF" will turn off continuous tracking.
"Health" will respond with the GPRS signal strength, the status of the external alarm and if the Tracker is moving or not.
"PIN=" will set a security PIN number within the tracker to prevent unauthorized access to the tracker.
"Credit" will check your available SIM credit. This can also be obtained and more credit added on-line.
